Geomine Global Success Stories

Discover how Geomine Global has transformed mineral opportunities into sustainable, compliant, and community-conscious ventures across Africa. Our case studies showcase the technical expertise and strategic insight that drive lasting impact in the mining sector.

Geological Assessment Mine Reconnaissance - Isulu Village, Kakamega (January 2026)

Geomine conducted a targeted geological assessment and mine reconnaissance to help landowners understand the mineral potential of their land through structured, evidence-based geology.

The assignment combined a desktop review of regional geological data with a three-day field visit involving selective trenching, assessment of two shafts and one open pit near a river system, and controlled collection of ten representative samples for laboratory assaying.

The work confirmed mineralised structures and improved confidence in subsurface continuity. It delivered assay-backed insights to support informed decisions on small-scale mining, further exploration, or investment—replacing speculation with clear geological understanding.

Mine Reconnaissance Geological Appraisal - Kiambere Ward (Kiangunguru), Embu County (January 2026)

Geomine conducted a mine reconnaissance and geological appraisal in Kiambere Ward as part of its 2026 Mine Reconnaissance Program, focusing on areas with known but underexplored mineral potential. The work involved field-based geological observations and engagement with miners and local communities to assess host rock controls and structural indicators.

The area hosts complex geology with mica, feldspar, gemstones, and coltan (columbite–tantalite), with feldspar identified as the dominant host rock and associated mineralisation including beryllium, aquamarine, mica, and coltan across multiple zones.

The appraisal strengthened geological understanding and supported informed exploration and responsible mineral development decisions.

Small-Scale Gold Operations Investment Guidance - Nyatike Subcounty, Migori (November 2025)

Geomine conducted an appraisal of two progressive small-scale gold projects, a 20 tpd Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) plant and a 10 tpd wet milling operation, reflecting a shift toward technically grounded scaling in East Africa’s gold sector.

The assignment included a full technical site visit, advisory support on best-practice milling and processing improvements, and gravity concentration tests using a South Africa–sourced concentrator to validate recovery performance.

The work provided practical, data-backed guidance to optimize processing flow, improve recoveries, and inform investment and scaling decisions.

Mine Investments & Stakeholder Management - Kenya (2019–2025)

Cyrus played a key role in mine investments, machinery deployment, and stakeholder management, supporting mining brands while contributing to the advancement of Kenya’s gold projects through The Impact Facility.

He was instrumental in developing a lease-to-own mining machinery program, which strengthened access to equipment for operators and laid the foundation for close collaboration with original equipment manufacturers across Kenya and East Africa.

The work combined investment structuring, technical insight, and partner coordination to support scalable and sustainable mining operations.

Technical Training Operational Support - Kuranze, Kwale (August 2023)

Through Geomine Consultants, the team delivered occupational health and safety training to gemstone miners in Kwale and Kilifi counties, Kenya, under the “Mgodi Darasa” (Classroom in the Mine) program implemented with Moyo Gems Africa.

The program used practical, on-site learning to introduce basic mining safety principles, enable miners to identify operational gaps, and promote simple, workable improvements within active mine settings.

The approach strengthened safety awareness and built foundational technical capacity across participating mining communities.

Investment Benchmarking - Burundi /Tanzania (December 2024).

Geomine Consultants supported investment acceleration and regional collaboration by planning and organising a benchmarking mission for a Burundi delegation to Tanzania.

Contracted by Competitiveness in December 2024, Geomine coordinated engagement between investors and government stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities and learn from Tanzania’s experience in advancing the mineral value chain.

The mission focused on sustainable mining practices, modern mining technologies, and policy and institutional frameworks that support mineral sector development, providing practical insights to inform investment and sector planning in Burundi.

Mine Audit and Inspections – Lodwar, Turkana County (September 2025).

Geomine conducted a week-long mine audit and sensitisation programme in Turkana County in September 2025, in collaboration with the Turkana County Government.

The assignment focused on professional oversight, mine safety standards, and innovation needs within local gold mining communities.

The initiative helped bridge gaps between miners, policymakers, and partners, fostering dialogue and practical pathways toward safer, more sustainable mining practices in Kenya and the wider East African region.

Environmental Social and Governance - Ghana, Tanzania & Uganda (March 2025)

Eng. Cyrus led and supported ESG assessments across small-scale mining operations, with a strong focus on sustainability, risk management, and operational improvement.

In March 2025, he conducted an ESG assessment in Ghana that informed mining investability studies and risk analyses, while identifying critical gaps and opportunities for operational improvement.

The work applied practical ESG tools to evaluate mining practices, mitigate environmental and social risks, and guide investors and policymakers toward more responsible and sustainable mining models across the region.
